Who We AreThe Story Atelier is a bespoke storytelling studio where personal histories and brand visions are transformed into meaningful stories that are thoughtfully told, artfully designed and created to last.

As a writer, creative director and artist, I have always believed that authentic storytelling surpasses mere words on a page; it begins with genuine curiosity and an articulate writing style, and then transcends into the artful delivery of a project. Over the past ten years of my career, I have recognized the opportunity to blend my background in journalism, marketing and art to help people and businesses share their unique stories through tailored creations, enabling them to connect and inspire with their families, clients and the beautiful world.
I hope to inspire people to leave their personal and brand legacies while sharing their stories through creative, custom deliverables tailored to their personalities and audiences.
We all have stories worth sharing, but too many times we fail to put our pen to paper. I’m here to do the hard part for you. The process
As both a professional storyteller and creative director, Makayla approaches each project by envisioning the final experience from the very beginning — considering not only the narrative itself, but how it will ultimately be seen, felt and remembered.
Whether crafting an heirloom book or creative marketing piece, the process is deeply collaborative and intentionally tailored. Through conversation, research, writing, editing and visual direction, each story is thoughtfully shaped into a cohesive final work where every detail — from the language and emotional tone to the design and presentation — is created with purpose.
